Essentials Class - May 4th & 11th, 2024
The Essentials of Fire Chaplaincy is a foundational training course for the fire department chaplain. This two-day course, hosted by Public Safety Chaplaincy, will be held over two consecutive Saturdays so people who work during the workday may participate. This course is the basic course by the Federation of Fire Chaplains and is a requirement for membership in the Federation of Fire Chaplains.
This course provides an opportunity for everyone - experienced chaplains and new chaplains alike - to understand the fundamentals of fire chaplaincy. The class consists of 16 hours of instruction, over the course of two Saturdays, covering the following areas:

You must be present for the entire 16 hours of instruction to receive a certificate for the course from the Federation of Fire Chaplains. If you want a copy of the FFC manual, one can be purchased on your own here.
